Frontier Communications attributes slow connections to a network problem in the Tampa Bay area over the last day.

“The slow network connections that some customers experienced over the last day have been corrected," according to the company. "We identified the network problem and re-routed the traffic, which resolved the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience, and encourage customers with further questions to contact our customer care team at 1-888-457-4110, a special number for our Florida customers.”

Several complaints have been posted on the company's website from the Tampa area for the last several days that include poor to no internet service.

Attorney General Pam Bondi's office said by email Monday is has been in contact with Frontier about the recent service disruptions.

They advise customers who continue to have issues to file a complaint so they can follow up with the company.

The state has received almost 2,500 complaints since May.

The attorney general's office did say some of the more recent complaints may not relate to issues from the transition to Frontier.

They also say Frontier continues to cooperate with the state.
