Hillsborough County deputies are searching for a man who snatched a $20,000 Cuban link necklace from a University Square Mall jewelry store.
The man jumped over the counter of M/N Jewelers at the mall, located at 2200 Fowler Ave. N., on Thursday night, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. He then ran from the mall with the necklace and got into a waiting GMC pick-up truck.
The truck was found abandoned in the area of 132nd Avenue East and 22nd Street North.
