UPDATE:

The one-year-old Yorkipoo has been found and returned to the USF student.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A USF student living in an off-campus apartment says a burglar stole her one-year-old Yorkipoo after breaking in through a glass back door.

Dominique Davis found her second-floor apartment was broken into through a private porch on Wednesday. Davis lives inside the Somerset Park apartments right behind Bruce B. Downs.

"I was looking around and I'm looking in my bathroom, like 'Ace, Ace' thinking they just came for the valuables," she said.

Ace and two gold watches were stolen.

"They could have taken anything from my apartment, and just left him in the middle of the floor," she uttered, fighting back tears.

Davis is set to graduate with an advertising degree next month, the senior has sold all her valuables ahead of moving to Dallas. Ace was her most valuable possession.

Davis tells us she bought the Yorkipoo right after he was born for over $1,000.

"He was my baby," she said.

Davis is hoping someone recognizes his distinguishing white mark on his chest.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the stolen Yorkipoo.

Davis doesn't plan to press charges though, she just hopes to get her Ace back.

If you have any information call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
