A 30-year-old man faces a human-trafficking charge after deputies say he forced a woman to work as a prostitute.

Brandon Jackson, 30, was arrested Tuesday during a prostitution investigation at the La Quinta Inn at 4811 U.S. 301 N. in Tampa, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, deputies found a 32-year-old woman who they say was forced to work as a prostitute while being held against her will by Jackson.

Jackson was found in a locked bathroom nearby with a loaded pistol in the toilet, deputies said.

Jackson is charged with human trafficking, false imprisonment, possessing a firearm as a felon, possessing marijuana and domestic violence battery.

A criminal history check was done on Jackson. Jackson was convicted of False Imprisonment, a 3rd degree felony, on February 4, 2013, in Orange County.
