TAMPA, Fla. — Even the monsters are wearing safety masks at Howl-O-Scream this year.

Busch Gardens' annual scare shindig opens Friday, September 25 with pandemic precautions affecting pretty much everything.

In lieu of haunted houses, there will be 10 open-air scare zones.

The performers in the popular and bawdy stage show Fiends not only have to socially distance from the crowd, but they also have to socially distance from each other.

Reservations for the spooky event are strongly recommended. The event will operate at a limited capacity until its November 1 closing date.

Tickets start at $25. Although there is no age restriction, the scares can get pretty intense. The Fiends musical is recommended for 18 and over.
