Virtual reality is becoming a hot topic at Ringling College of Art and Design. Students with knowledge of the topic have gotten jobs fast.
“We’ve had students go to places like Google and Facebook,” said instructor Jim McCampbell.
McCampbell said the school is launching a virtual reality degree next fall.
“The number of possibilities are endless we don’t even know what some of those are, because they haven’t been invented yet,” said McCampbell.
He said students will have opportunities in creating programs for construction firms, gaming companies, and even hospitals.
“It’s going to be an $80-billion a year industry by 2025.
School reps believe this is program is the only virtual reality degree program being offered in the US.
