LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Southwest Florida's famed eagle Harriet is about to welcome a few warm-and-fuzzy additions to the family, and the public is more than welcome to watch.
The Southwest Florida Eagle Cam shows that Harriet's first egg, which was laid on December 19th, was scheduled to hatch over the weekend. But we hadn't seen any movement yet until Monday morning. That's when the cam's Facebook page reported that the hatching has begun.
Harriet is part of the once-famous duo with Ozzie, who died after fighting with Harriet's current mate, known as M15.
