SARASOTA, Fla. — A big project in Sarasota started this week, closing down an intersection through downtown.
Lemon Avenue and Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for about five weeks. Lemon Avenue through State Street will be closed until October or November.
Crews are installing brick paces on the street, adding new lighting and landscaping. City officials tell ABC Action News that they hope the project will make the area more pedestrian friendly.
