TAMPA, Fla. — A new four-way stop is now in place in at Glen Avenue and Palmetto, a West Tampa intersection known for speeding and crashes.
ABC Action News was there, cameras rolling, as a t-bone crash happened at Glen Avenue and Palmetto Street last year, prior to the installation of the new 4-way stop sign. Neighbors tell us this is nothing new and there have been a history of crashes there.
Other concerns include incredibly narrow streets, making it challenging for two vehicles to pass one another at the same time. Neighbors like Maria Castillo tell ABC Action News cars often end up in deep drainage ditches.
If the All For Transportation Tax dollars go through final approval after a legal battle is resolved, the City of Tampa also has it on its list of projects to fix drainage ditches along Glen Avenue.
