HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — As the Florida Supreme Court continues to debate the All for Transportation tax in Hillsborough County, local leaders were set to put a "Plan B" on November's ballot.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic is putting a halt on that.
Last week, Hillsborough County Commissioners voted to delay a public hearing on the county's backup plan to January 2021.
Commissioner Les Miller says he wants to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic and feels that needs to be the county's top priority.
Still, the Florida Supreme Court has not made a ruling on the issue.
Millions of dollars has been collected from the tax since January 2019. It has not yet been dispersed.
