City of Lakeland looking for public input on new downtown parking signs

LAKELAND, Fla. — The City of Lakeland's Traffic Operations and Parking Services is looking for public input on potential new parking signs downtown.

The city wants its street parking signs to communicate to the patron what the parking rules are for where that customer is parking.

The city had this to say about the new signs:

Forget what you know or think you know about the Downtown parking rules that exist today. Please look at this sample sign carefully and answer the questions below. We won't give you any other information, because we need to know how each of you interpret this limited amount of information. These signs do not currently exist anywhere in Downtown Lakeland or the city. This is just a SAMPLE.
