As if there weren't more reasons to love our multicookers. The popular kitchen appliance not only helps you make grandma's famous chili, but it can also keep you safe during the pandemic, according to the U.S. Government.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), the do-it-all multicookers can sanitize a used N95 mask. The moist heat from the multicookers can decontaminate the highly-sought masks.

"S&T has identified programmable multicookers with a sous vide function, or equivalent setting, as a suitable means to treat FFRs with moist heat at home," U.S. Homeland Security said in a press release.
