MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Manatee County announced it will be reopening its beaches next week.

The Manatee County Commissioners unanimously voted to reopen public beaches next Monday, May 4.

Residents are still ordered to practice social distancing in the sand and you can only park for two hours in county lots or else you'll get a parking ticket.

The county's announcement comes as Pinellas County also voted to reopen their beaches.

At a state level, Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to make an announcement regarding Florida's "safer-at-home" order on Wednesday, April 29.
