Gov. Ron DeSantis has asked the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to continue waiving the work search requirement until September 5.
The DEO says DeSantis directed them to waive the work search, work registration requirements and waiting week requirement for reemployment assistance claimants.
As of Tuesday, July 27, the DEO has paid over 1.8 million claimants for a total of nearly $12 billion.
DeSantis wants Floridians, especially parents, to focus on making the best decision for their families in the coming weeks, the Tweet said.
