TAMPA, Fla. — A nonprofit group is working to help Tampa teachers get some much needed supplies for the upcoming school year.

TRIBE Seminole Heights volunteers went through all of their drawers and cabinets, pulling out anything they thought might be useful to teachers either for eLearning or for in-person classrooms.

Volunteers sorted it all and put it out on tables. They are now allowing teachers at both Seminole Heights Elementary and Broward Elementary Schools in Hillsborough County to come and take anything they wish.

Teachers area invited to visit one at a time and bring a bag or box of their own. The supplies will be handed out on first-come, first-served basis. Face masks are required to enter the TRIBE Teacher Store.

Teachers will need to use the tall metal fire escape doors directly across from the Seminole Elementary car line gate exit. They face Hanna Avenue.

More than 30 teachers stopped by the teacher store over a two-day period, according to Kristen Brown, founder of TRIBE Seminole Heights.
