Shared vacation properties and timeshares allow travelers to purchase a share of a holiday home. According to the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), more than 9 million households in the U.S. own some form of timeshare (weeks, points, club membership, etc.). The $9.6 billion industry consists of nearly 1,600 resorts in the U.S. alone, with 131 units per resort on average. Yet at any given time, it’s estimated that roughly 1 million people are looking to end their ownership. A quick and simple online search reveals thousands of timeshares listed for less than $1 or even free — with no interested buyers.
Timeshare exit industry expert Gordon Newton is available to give your viewers the lowdown on timeshares and how to get out of one if they’ve already signed on the dotted line. He’ll teach viewers how to recognize timeshare exit scams and protect themselves from falling prey to unscrupulous vendors.
