TAMPA — Surveillance video captured burglars backing a dark-colored pickup truck into a parking spot partially occupied by a rented scooter. It was parked outside the vacation rental unit where Saria Ali and Edward Sanabria were staying for the week.

The victims say they parked the moped in the spot and discovered it missing the night of July 3.

The rental agreement forced the pair to shell out more than $1,800 for the lost scooter.

The video shows the two thieves wearing ball caps and hiding their faces from the camera.

They linger near the bed of the truck for a few seconds then quickly lift the scooter and drive away.

We spoke with Tampa Police who say they are still searching for suspects in the case.

The scooter is a 2017 black Dong Fang with a Florida tag of MGD5F9.

Ali and Sanabria are hoping the video leads to the missing moped and the suspects. They hope to be able to turn in their ride and recoup some of their money.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa Police.
