The rocking Samsung washer scared Luz Willis. Her daughter Sue Savatage says the top loader rocked off the concrete foundation.

When this Samsung customer found their washer was among the 2.8 million recalled by last November she opted for the rebate check.

As part of the recall, Samsung offered to either fix the defective washer or pay out a refund with the amount depending on the model and if the consumer replaced the washer with a new Samsung.

Mother and daughter say they filled out the rebate paperwork Samsung required and made repeated calls over 3 months but got nothing in return.

We emailed Samsung’s corporate office and asked about the delay in Willis’s refund. The company mailed Willis' two checks totaling over $400 which she promptly used to purchase a new washing machine.

Samsung tells us they are getting repair requests taken care of in as little as 7 days and refund requests take 4 to 6 weeks to process but only if the paperwork is filled out completely. The company has set up a hotline for those under the recall. It is 1-866-264-5636 or visit their website at samsung.com/us/tlw.
