Popcorn sold at Publix recalled for not labeling milk in product

TAMPA, Fla. — Bickel’s Snack Foods is is voluntarily recalling bags of popcorn because the product does not list milk on its label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk could experience a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the mislabeled product.

The recall involves 8 oz. Butter Flavored Popcorn bearing UPC code 7017506021 with the use by code 29 MAR 21 Z1 E1.

No other products or lot codes are affected by this recall.

The recalled product was sold exclusively in Publix Super Markets.

Bickel’s Snack Foods says the error occurred when bags containing Cheddar Flavored Popcorn were inadvertently labeled as Butter Flavored Popcorn.

There have been no illnesses reported in connection with the mislabeled bags.

If you purchased the mislabeled bags of Butter Flavored Popcorn, you are asked to discard it or return it to Publix for a full refund.
