Ready-to-eat chicken recall due to adulteration

Posted

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall on about 1,976,089 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken from National Steak and Poultry.

FSIS says there is suspected adulteration because of possible undercooking, resulting in potential survival of bacterial pathogens in the products.

The recalled items were produced between August 20 and November 30.

The cases with product subject to recall have establishment number "P-6010T" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse health effects or illnesses due to consumption of the recalled products as of now.
