Nearly 7.2M pounds of hot dogs recalled, could contain bone fragments

Nearly 7.2 million pounds of hot dog products are being recalled because they could contain extraneous materials, specifically bone fragments. 

The Marathon Enterprises Inc. beef and pork hot dog and sausage items were produced between March 17, 2017 and July 4, 2017.

The recalled products bear the establishment number "EST. 8864" inside of the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped nationwide.

There was one reported minor oral injury associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
