Kraft Heinz is expanding a recall of its Singles line of products due to a potential choking hazard, the company said in a statement Wednesday.

Products in expanded recall include:

  • Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product; 1-pound, 3-pound and 4-pound sizes.

Kraft said the “Best When Used By” date of the expanded recall product includes the dates 09 DEC 15 through 02 MAR 16, and you should also be looking for the manufacturing code S54 or S55.

Products in the original recall include:

  • Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product; 3-pound and 4-pound sizes.

The "Best When Used By” date ranges from 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, and the manufacturing code for those products is Code S54 or S55.

The reason for the recall? A thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain on slices after the wrapper has been removed, causing a choking hazard, the company said in the statement.
