Amazon customers can return items to Kohl's

As an avid Amazon customer, I buy everything from food and gifts to, yup, toilet paper. I'm always leery of things I'm not sure of, though, because it's not as simple as just taking it back to the store if I don't like it or if I buy clothes that don't fit. Kohl's (which just so happens to be my other favorite store) is out to solve that dilemma, with an announcement that is sure to excite Amazon and Kohl's lovers alike. kohls photo Beginning in October, Kohl's will now accept eligible returns from Amazon at 82 locations in Los Angeles and Chicago! Once returned, Kohl's will ship the product back to Amazon's warehouse. No more trying to put it back in the box and tape it up, Kohl's will handle it for you—for free! mail photo “We are thrilled to launch this unprecedented and innovative concept, allowing customers to bring in their unpackaged Amazon returns to Kohl’s and we will pack them, ship them, and return them to Amazon for free,” Richard Schepp, chief administrative officer for Kohl's said in a press release. “This is a great example of how Kohl’s and Amazon are leveraging each other's strengths–the power of Kohl’s store portfolio and omnichannel capabilities combined with the power of Amazon’s reach and loyal customer base.” amazon photo Eligible items can be returned regardless of the reason and do not have to be pre-packaged for shipping. If you're heading to Kohl's just to return something from Amazon, you'll even find a special parking spot near the store entrance. Apparently, Amazon wanted to make it easier for customers to make returns, which is why they decided to team up with Kohl's. This makes sense, as returns can be a bit of a hassle, particularly if you've never done it before and don't understand the process. kohls photo “Amazon Returns at Kohl’s creates a convenient location for Amazon customers to return eligible Amazon.com merchandise,” said Shivi Shankaran, director of worldwide customer returns at Amazon, in a press release. “Teaming up with Kohl’s provides an incredible opportunity to pair our world-class return experience with a great shopping experience, expanding our service options to our customers in the Los Angeles and Chicago areas.” Kohl’s also announced that a new Amazon smarthome experience will be available in 10 Kohl’s stores across the Chicago and Los Angeles areas. At those 10 stores, customers can purchase Amazon devices, accessories and smart home devices and services directly from Amazon. Fingers crossed that Kohl's and Amazon roll this out nationwide soon, so that everyone can enjoy this perk. Would you use this service if it was offered at a Kohl's near you?
