The food specials at Beef 'O' Brady's are endless with 'Burger Mondays', 'Tacos on Tuesday,' 'Pizza and Wing Wednesday,' 'Tender Slider Thursday' and 'Seafood Combo Friday.'
But there were no food specials last week when state inspectors showed up to shut down one of the many popular restaurant locations.
The Beef 'O' Brady's at 102 West Polk Street in Auburndale had to stop serving food and temporarily close for the second time this year.
Our ABC Action News I-Team uncovering that on Wednesday, September 21, inspectors shut down the restaurant after finding a dozen live roaches in the kitchen near the sink and dish machine.
They also found the exterior exit door has a gap that opens to the outside which may be how the bugs are getting in.
In addition, the state finding the dish machine not properly sanitizing the dishes and forced the restaurant to manual clean their dishes until it was corrected.
And it wasn't the first time the restaurant was shut down by the state.
In February of this year, inspectors temporarily closed Auburndale's Beef 'O' Brady's after discovering the presence of rodents in the kitchen with up to 65 rodent droppings near the food prep table and other parts of the kitchen.
