A new report published by Car MD shows which cars have the least engine trouble, and which ones cost the least to fix when engine troubles do arise.

The report studied nearly 5 million cars made between 1996 and 2016, and offered "actual in-use, statistically-based check engine-related failures and repair costs" to gather data.

Toyota had four of the top ten cars with the fewest engine-related issues, with Honda and Ford each having two cars in the top ten as well.

However, when engine problems do come up, Hyundai was typically the least costly to fix, coming out to roughly $320.

The most reliable car when comparing lowest average repair cost and fewest repair issues was the 2012 Honda CR-V.
