TAMPA BAY, Fla. - If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (August 3-5), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, August 3

Tampa Bay Comic Con

When: August 3-5
Where: Tampa Convention Center at 333 South Franklin Street, Tampa

Info: It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the Tampa Bay Comic Con! There’s a good chance you are likely to see Superman, Spiderman, Batman and a collection of other superheroes on the streets of downtown Tampa this weekend.The masses that support the annual event will be in full regalia at the Tampa Convention Center on South Franklin Street. People dressed in a wide array of costumes is only part of the festivities. It's a venue for celebrity watchers, comic book enthusiasts, vendors, writers and everything nerdy.

 

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago White Sox

When: August 3-5
Where: Tropicana Field at 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg

Info: The Tampa Bay Rays will take on the Chicago White Sox for a 3-game weekend series at the Trop! First pitch is 7:10 p.m. Friday night. 

First Friday in St. Pete

When: 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Where: Downtown St. Pete, Florida

Info: On the first Friday of every month, the heart of downtown becomes St. Pete’s biggest block party. First Friday St. Pete is a showcase for the great bands, great drinks, and great food that make St. Pete Florida’s most exciting city. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 10. Your admission is free, the music is live, and the food and drink is delicious. 

Miranda Lambert & Little Big Town: The Bandwagon Tour
