Friday, August 23

Lakeland Flying Tigers vs. Tampa Tarpons

Where: George Steinbrenner Field at 3802 West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa

Cinema on the Sand: The Meg

When: 8 p.m.
Where: 6850 Beach Plaza, St Pete Beach
Cost: Free
Info: Enjoy a free screening of The Meg at Upham Beach! Come out and enjoy a night under the stars while watching a blockbuster hit being shown from the barge. You can float and watch the movie or bring a blanket and relax on the sand! The film is free to attend and Paradise Grille will be providing food and beverages for purchase.

Incredible Duck Race

When: 10 a.m.
Where: Curtis Hixon Park at 600 North Ashley Drive, Tampa
Cost: Free
Info: The Kiwanis Club of Tampa will race 15,000+ rubber ducks down the Hillsborough River on August 24. The first three ducks to cross the finish line will win amazing cash prizes! First place is $5,000, second place is $1,000 and third place is $500. The Incredible Duck Race is a free event in Curtis Hixon Park with family-friendly music, food, and activities all leading up to the big race. Ducks can be adopted at for $5 per duck.

Monster Jam Triple Threat Series

When: 1 p.m.
Where: Amalie Arena at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa
