If you have always wanted to go rock climbing, you can try it for free at Vertical Ventures. In celebration of Global Climbing Day on August 24, the indoor climbing gym is waiving the admission fee for first-time climbers.
Admission usually costs $16 for adults at the Tampa location, $18 for adults at the St. Pete location, and $12 for children at both locations.
Guests can take part in the celebration on Global Climbing Day from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Due to limited space, it's first come, first serve.
If you would like more in-depth instructions, Vertical Ventures offers a $35 introductory class every hour. The class includes your daily admission, additional rental gear (including climbing shoes and chalk) and a two-week membership to come back and climb some more.
