TAMPA BAY, Fla. - If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (May 18-20), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, May 18

Bike over the Bay from Tampa to Clearwater

When: Open all day  
Where: Courtney Causeway, Tampa

Info: Looking for an awesome bike trail in Tampa Bay? Look no further! The Courtney Campbell Trail runs over 9.5 miles from Tampa to Clearwater along the entire southern side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The trail begins from the Veterans Expressway in Hillsborough County and goes to Bayshore Boulevard in Pinellas County.  It is also connected to recreational trails on both sides of the Bay. 

 

Best in Show at Tampa Theatre

When: 4 p.m. 
Where: Tampa Theatre at 711 N Franklin Street, Tampa

Info: Following five dogs and their unbelievable owners as they make their way to (and then compete in) the Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show, Best in Show is a loving and lighthearted take on how loving something so much can sometimes lead you to a really silly place. After the screening, Jay Stutz – the ‎Assistant Curator of Zoological Operations at Busch Gardens Tampa – will discuss the psychology of training “man’s best friend” and offer a few tips for coaching your canine friends at home.

David Koechner: The Symphony of Chaos Tour

Info: Actor, writer and producer David Koechner stars as Tush on CBS's Superior Donuts. He's also well-known for his roles as Todd Packer on The Office and Champ Kind from Anchorman and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Koechner recently starred in Legendary’s Krampus and Roadside Attraction’s Priceless. Must be 21 and up to enter; except on Friday's at 10:30 p.m. which is 18 & up to enter.

Saturday, May 19

Beer Can Island Invasion

When: 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. 
Where: Davis Island Boat Ramp at 825 Severn Avenue, Tampa
Cost: Free
Info: Get ready for an official Beer Can Island invasion! Grab the boat and head out to Tampa’s Floating Tiki Bar for some tasty food, cold beverages and music! It’s going to be one big island party. Unlimited drink tickets are $40. The group will launch from Davis Island Boat Ramp at 10:30 a.m. heading south around a few of the islands in the area with a stop at Fantasy Island. They will regroup and head over to Beer Can Island where you can park the skis and grab something to drink or continue to ride and enjoy the waters around Beer Can Island. 

Eastern Conference Final Game 5: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Washington Capitals

When: 7:15 p.m. 
Where: Amalie Arena at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa

TFO: Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony at Ruth Eckerd Hall
