- Travel Costs and Hassle to Get to (i.e. costs and duration of flights, number of connections)
- Local Costs (i.e. cost of living, hotel, food)
- Attractions (number and diversity)
- Weather (penalties given for extreme conditions)
- Activities (i.e. spas, restaurants, shopping centers, food festivals)
- Safety (violent-crime rate and property-crime rate)
The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area earned an overall score of 64.37. Here’s how we ranked in the following categories (1=best, 100=worst):
- Travel Costs and Hassles: 20
- Local Costs: 32
