TAMPA, Fla. - Downtown Tampa’s newest park is set to open this weekend! 

To celebrate the grand opening of Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, the City of Tampa will be hosting a full weekend of free family fun on Saturday and Sunday. 

The 25-acre park will feature the Mayor’s Mac & Cheese Throwdown competition at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Third Eye Blind will then headline a free concert that evening at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks.

Sunday will showcase the Florida Orchestra, fitness classes, live music, tasty food truck cuisine, adult beverages, local art and more fireworks. 

Julian B. Riverfront Park also has large event spaces, sports amenities, children’s playground and splash pad, picnic areas, a dog park, and even a large rowing center!

Be one of the first to experience this new local gem, located at 1001 North Boulevard.
