Need a good excuse to get out of the office on this beautiful Friday in Tampa Bay? Here it is! Today, March 30 is National Take A Walk In The Park Day!

So, we came up with a list of places you can take a stroll in Tampa Bay. 

Hillsborough County

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park - A Tampa landmark featuring grassy areas along the Riverwalk of Tampa. 

Al Lopez Park - City park featuring sheltered picnic areas, nature trails, a playground and two ponds (one for fishing).

Cypress Point Park - Enjoy the ocean breeze on the boardwalk of this oceanfront park that also has hiking trails, dunes, picnic shelters and a canoe dock. 

Ballast Point Park - A beautiful waterfront park offering a splash pad for the kids, a cafe, a pier, picnic areas and a playground. 

Centennial Park - You can even check out an art studio at this park. Enjoy recreational areas and picnic areas. 

Gadsden Park - A major city park with a lake, sports fields, picnic areas, dog area, playground and trails for jogging. 

Water Works Park - Cool off at this riverfront park with a splash pad for kids, an open green space and a playground and picnic areas. 

Lettuce Lake Park - Located northeast of Tampa, check out this beautiful boardwalk and enjoy birdwatching, canoeing, a fishing dock, picnic tables and bbq grills for lunch.

Pinellas County

Fort De Soto Park - Enjoy the beach at a park that features camping, trails and a historic fort in a vast park spread over connected islands. 

Wall Springs Park- Enjoy the bayou views, walking paths and an observation tower and playground. 

Lake Seminole Park - Walk the trails of this wildlife sanctuary and enjoy water sports and picnic shelters. 

A.L. Anderson Park - This park features a dog park with walking trails and picnic spots, plus a boat ramp and fishing access. 

Phillippe Park - A harborside park with a historic Native American mound, a playground, fishing and more. 

Sawgrass Lake Park - A swamp conservation area with a mile-long boardwalk and a 1/2 mile dirt path for wildlife observation.

Pasco County

Withlacoochee River Park - More than 400 acres of forested park with a river, offering trails, fishing, wildlife and an observation tower. 

Wesley Chapel District Park - Walking path and playgrounds for all. 

Crews Lake Wilderness Park - Hiking trails and a short paved bike trail with playground, wooden tower, athletic fields and more.

Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park - Camping, nature viewing, fishing and more offered at this park in Pasco County. 

Moon Lake Park - More than six acres with a large lake. A small boat ramp is located in the park for kayaks and canoes and small engined boats. Enjoy lunch in the picnic areas.
