Fun things to do in Tampa Bay this weekend | October 13-15

If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (October 13-15), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, October 13

Oktoberfest Tampa 2017

It’s time to drink up, Tampa Bay! You're invited to the 8th Annual Oktoberfest Tampa event held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. This weekend-long party will host daily ceremonial keg tappings, Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfest awards, mustache competition on Saturday, and some good ol' chicken dance every day. There will be delicious beer, food and even a German DJ! Tickets cost $10 for daily admission.

Scream-A-Geddon in Dade City

Scream-A-Geddon promises sinister attractions that are more interactive than ever before. The venue will feature haunted attractions with themes that range from an infectious disease epidemic to a heinous and sinister prison riot. The attractions include Deadwoods, Bedlam 3D, Cursed Hayride, Blackpool Prison and newly redesigned Infected: Ground Zero and Monster Midway. Do you dare? Click here for ticket information. 

 

Florida Georgia Line at Florida State Fairgrounds 

Get excited, country music fans! Florida Georgia Line will be bringing its 2017 Smooth Tour to Tampa on Friday night. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre with tickets starting at $49.75. 

Saturday, October 14

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. St. Louis Blues 

Come watch the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the St. Louis Blue at Amalie Arena Saturday night! The game begins at 7 p.m. 

 

Joey Diaz at Ybor City Improv

Famous actor Joey Diaz will be performing standup comedy at the Ybor City Improv Theater. You may recognize him from his appearances in The Mentalist, Children’s Hospital, My Name is Earl or General Hospital - to name a few. On the film front, Diaz has held roles in The Longest Yard”, Spider Man 2, Smiley Face and Taxi, among others. His shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $25. 

Celebrate fall and pumpkins at Harvestmoon Farm 

Fall is upon us! Get lost in the 5-acre corn maze or go picking for pumpkins at Harvestmoon Farm in Masaryktown. In addition to the maze, you and your family can enjoy the petting farm, 70-foot jumping pillow, cow train ride and much more. The maze will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through November 5. Admission is $11.95 and free for ages 2 and younger. 

 

Sunday, October 15

Maxima Concierto Herencia Hispana 2017

The Hispanic Heritage Concert will celebrate what makes Clearwater unique this Sunday, offering some of the best live public performances by internationally recognized Latin artists. This festival will feature performances by international Latin Pop and Reggaeton recording artists. Amongst the festivities, there will be food and drink concessions and special exhibitors. The event kicks off at Coachman Park at 12 p.m. Tickets begin at $25. 

Will Hoge at The Attic in Ybor City

Grammy-nominated American country music singer Will Hoge will be performing at The Attic in Ybor City on Sunday night. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with tickets starting at $40. 

Grab pumpkin-themed donuts at Little Donut House

With the fall season in full swing, many in Tampa Bay are searching for everything pumpkin spice.  Get ready for your mouth to water. The Little Donut House in South Tampa offers an entire fall-inspired box of tiny pumpkin-flavored doughnuts. The fall flavors include pumpkin glaze with powdered sugar, pecan pie with maple icing, candy corn with chocolate drizzle, pumpkin cream cheese, chocolate and vanilla fall sprinkles.
