If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (August 25-27), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, August 25

Friday Fest - Outdoor Reggae Concert

If you love reggae, this event is for you! The Friday Fest Outdoor Reggae Concert kicks off at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall at 5 p.m. The event will be bringing you live reggae, soca, calypso and R&B outside by the beautiful Bayfront. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. There will be food trucks and drinks available. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Beer & Bow Ties Fundraiser

Come drink local beer at the Cuban Club and raise awareness for suicide prevention. Proceeds from the event benefit the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. There’s also local food, raffles and prizes. Make sure to wear a bow tie to grab a free drink. General admission tickets cost $40 and doors open at 6 p.m.

Rewind: Aliens (1986) at the Tampa Theatre

Take a trip in a time machine and catch the film ‘Aliens’ at the Tampa Theatre this weekend. The movie starts at 10:30 p.m. and tickets cost $7.

Tampa Bay Indian Music & Dance Festival 2017

Come check out the Tampa Bay Indian Music and Dance Festival! This family-friendly festival celebrates the rich performing arts culture of India through live music and dance. There will be plenty of authentic Indian food as well. The event starts at 3 p.m. at the Hindu Temple of Florida and tickets cost $15.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cleveland Browns (Preseason)

Siege the day! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Cleveland Browns for a preseason game at Raymond James Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. 

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Conor McGregor Watch Party

Billed as ‘The Money Fight’, Floyd Mayweather will take on Conor McGregor for the biggest fight of the year! The match has $180 million on the line between the two. There will be a watch party at GameTime in Ybor starting at 6 p.m. General admission starts at $15 if you prebook your tickets, but make sure you grab your reservations fast. 

Hernando County Food Truck Fiesta

Attention food truck fanatics! The Hernando County Food Truck Fiesta will feature over 20 top-ranked gourmet food trucks from American to Venezulean. Aside from food and drinks, there will be activities, face painting, games and so much more for the entire family to enjoy. They will also be bringing back the “Hernando’s Got Talent” show that will feature community musicians, singers, actors, dancers and more. Bring your lawn chairs and plan on spending the evening with some amazingly talented students.

Prego Expo

The Prego Expo is the premier pregnancy, parenting and baby expo. Meet over 70 exhibitors focused on everything before, during and after the bump! The expo starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Tampa Convention Center. Tickets cost $15.

Wicked Car Show

The Wicked Car Show will feature some of the sexiest rides in all of Tampa Bay on Sunday. This event is free for spectators and it kicks off at noon off Causeway Boulevard.
