Friday, September 1

Kendrick Lamar at Amalie Arena

Kendrick Lamar is in Tampa! He will be performing at Amalie Arena on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $36.

Lil Wayne at Jannus Live

Lil Wayne is hitting the stage at Jannus Live! The show starts Friday night in St. Pete at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets cost $75.

Tampa Salsa Bachata Festival

Time to salsa! The 2017 Salsa & Bachata Festival kicks off this weekend at the Hilton Hotel Downtown Tampa. Tampa's largest Latin Music and Dance Festival is a celebration of Latin culture through live music and dance. This event lasts through Monday, September 4.

Maxwell at The Mahaffey Theater

Grammy award-winner Maxwell will perform at The Mahaffey Theater in St. Pete on Friday night. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $45.

Saturday, September 2

Florida’s Largest Home Show

 

Florida’s Largest Home Show begins Friday at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Over 900 exhibits will feature new products and services for your home. The event begins Friday and runs through Monday. Doors open at 11 a.m. Click here for more information.

 

Tampa Bay’s Summer of Rum Festival

Rejoice, rum fans! Tampa Bay’s Summer of Rum Fest kicks off this Saturday at Curtis Hixon Park. Over 50 types of international rum will be featured along with live music from Shaggy, Baha Men and others. Balance out your drinking with plenty of delicious eats from local food trucks and vendors. More than 2,400 bottles of rum will be served, so there’s plenty for everyone. General admission tickets to the festival are $20 if you buy them online in advance or $25 at the gate. VIP passes are sold out. The event runs from noon until 11 p.m.

 

USF Home Opener - No. 19 South Florida vs. Stony Brook

Come watch the nationally-ranked South Florida Bulls take on Stony Brook during the season opener at Raymond James Stadium. The game begins at 4 p.m.

St. Pete Crab and Music Festival

Enjoy live music and all the crab and seafood you can eat! This family-friendly event goes from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Albert Whitted Park in St. Pete. Tickets cost $20. 

17th Annual Geckofest in Gulfport

Calling all flower children, hippies and tree huggers! Flock to Gulfport's waterfront and bring your buds for a day of peace, art and music! Gulfport invites you to the 17th Annual Geckofest celebrating the end of summer with its largest festival of the year, honoring this waterfront village's unofficial mascot and favorite reptile, the Gecko! Shop the vendors, join the quirky walking parade, colorful costume contests, and the ever-popular end-of-the-day dueling street dances that wrap up this light-hearted send-off to summer. Parking and admission to Geckofest is complimentary and the event is pet and family-friendly.

Standup comedian Steve Bryne will be performing at the Improv Comedy Theater in Ybor City this weekend. Tickets start at $17.

Monday, September 4

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Minnesota Twins

The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting the Minnesota Twins for a Labor Day matchup at Tropicana Field. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m.

Last chance to see Art of the Brick Lego display

It’s the last weekend to check out Art of the Brick! The exhibition features 100 incredible artworks made out of LEGO bricks by award-winning artist Nathan Sawaya. Art of the Brick will be on display at 802 East Whiting Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
