Social Roost opened at the end of 2020, and they're offering global comfort food inspired by the many travels of co-owners and St. Pete natives Rob Bowen and Jason Teabout.

"No matter what country we're in, wherever we are, we can always find a chicken dish..." said Teabout. "So we wanted to bring those back to the community in which we both grew up in."

Some fan favorites are the Chicken Samosas served with a Thai dipping sauce, the Chicken Tangine with bold North African flavors, and the Peruvian Chicken, which has a warm flavor profile and is served with rice & beans, sweet plantains, citrus pico, and pio pio sauce.

Though the main focus is chicken, there are plenty of other delicious options to enjoy, like steak, scallops, salads and more. You cancheck out the full menu online.

The cocktails go hand-in-hand with Social Roost's menu with creative flavors and artistic presentations. There is also a variety of tequila and mezcal options as well.

"Over a delicious meal, memories are always made over great cocktails," said Bowen. "I think really you should try everything on the menu for drinks and with food and they pair perfectly in this space we have here."

Having a hard time picking the perfect cocktail? Here are some options to get you started:

  • Jet Setter - Coconut Cartel Aged Rum, Spiced Pineapple Shrub, Nonino Amaro, Cinnamon, Lime
  • The Diplomat - Vago Elote Mezcal, Campari, Punt Y Mes, St. George Nola Coffee, Mole Bitters, Smoke
  • Social Butterfly - Empress Gin, Chinola Passion Fruit, Lemon, Orange Blossom
