Pet of the week: 'Lady' is a very sweet lady

Meet "Lady." The 8-month-old Portuguese Sheepdog Terrier mix is a playful pup that needs a forever home.

She is a very sweet and wall manned girl that is obedient, gentle and eager to please. Lady is a medium sized girl who would be great for an active family that will take her outside for neighborhood walks, to dog parks for socializing, and for playtime with toys in a fenced-in backyard.

Lady does well with other dogs and cats.

She walks very well on the leash but is not a fan of the crate. The good news is her foster family says Lady has been so well mannered in the house she has not had to be crated.

Her only transgressions are the few occasions when she steals a shoe thinking it is a toy.

Shelter workers with 4 Lucky Dogs Pet Rescue say Lady is somewhat afraid to get into a car, so you will need to help her. Once she is in a vehicle she is very well behaved and likes riding in the back seat.

Lady does have long hair that will require regular grooming. She is currently being fostered in Valrico.

She is current on all vaccinations, heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $250 which includes, her spay, microchip and vaccinations.

To learn more about Lady call 4 Lucky Dogs Pet Rescue at (813) 777-0925 or email 4luckydogspetrescue@gmail.com.  You can also fill out the adoption request form at 4luckydogspetrescue.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=9859375.
