ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — ABC Action News is bringing you a big boy this week in our Pet of the Week segment.

Hunter is a 3-year-old, 76-pound Labrador Retriever mix who needs a loving home. He comes from Pet Pal Animal Shelter.

According to the American Kennel Club, Labrador Retrievers are America’s most popular dog breed. They are medium-to-large dogs who bond well with the whole family.

Labs need a good amount of exercise and enjoy swimming or games of fetch.

Shelter workers say Hunter has a heart of gold, loves going on walks and just relaxing with people. Because of Hunter's size, Pet Pal would prefer to place him in a home without small children.

Hunter is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
