Buddy is looking for a buddy to be by his side. This beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd comes from Hernando County Animal Services (HCAS) in Brooksville.

Buddy loves people, so much he does exhibit some anxiety when he is left alone. He needs a home where his owner can work through some of his anxiety issues to help him to become more secure and self-assured.

The shelter is using Buddy in its nursing home program. He entertains and dotes on all the residents, even climbing into their beds.

According to HCAS, Buddy makes friends with everyone he has met at the shelter's off-site events.

The American Kennel Club says German Shepherds are generally muscular dogs with high intelligence. They are considered a true dog lover's dog.

Buddy is neutered and heartworm negative, walks well on leash, knows some basic commands and does well with other dogs. His adoption fee is $50.

If you are interested in adopting Buddy, contact Hernando County Animal Services by calling (352) 796-5062 or emailing sfinch@co.hernando.fl.us.
