Shaquille O'Neal took to his podcast Wednesday to make it known that he "isn't friends with Joe Exotic" after he made a surprise appearance in the popular Netflix documentary 'Tiger King.'

According to the Los Angeles Times , O'Neal opened his podcast about his time at the zoo.

"I love tigers," O'Neal said. "I was just a visitor. I met [Exotic] — not my friend. I don't know him. Never had any business dealings with him, and I had no idea any of that stuff was going on."

In one of the episodes, O'Neal is shown in a clip mentioning the Oklahoma zookeeper on the TNT show "Inside the NBA".

O'Neal said he stopped going to the tiger sanctuary once he learned what was going on, the LA Times reported.

Joe Exotic is currently serving time after being found guilty in January of trying to hire a hit man to kill animal-rights activist Carole Baskin.
