For his 26th birthday, Jon Boyd threw an ice cream party for the city of St. Petersburg: free cones for everybody all over town.
But this game changer wanted to do more tha njust drive around in that sweet Softee the King truck, so he teamed up with teen sisters Chelsea and Kayla Hage.
Their nonprofit "Birthday Candles for Kids" throws parties for homeless and foster children.
So as Jon handed out that free ice cream, he also asked for donations.
In the end, he celebrated his big day with 500 free cones and more than $2,500 for Birthday Candles for Kids.
