Omar expected to downgrade into a remnant low, NHC says

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Omar has downgraded to a tropical depression and is expected to be a remnant low Friday.

According to the 11 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Omar is packing 35 mph winds and is moving east and away from the United States at 13 mph. Omar is about 310 miles north-northest of Bermuda.

The good news is Omar is not expected to impact the United States, let alone Floridians.

This week, NHC is also looking into three other disturbances that could become tropical depressions.
