Hurricane Irma Response: FDNY sends members of Incident Management Team to Florida

The New York City Fire Department is sending a crew to respond to Florida and help with Hurricane Irma response. 

The 65-member crew is from the FDNY Incident Management Team. They are federally trained teams of first responders responsible for overseeing large-scale long-duration incidents and emergencies, including forest fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters.
