AT&T is helping people to connect with their family members and loved ones in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria devastated the island.

Family members of residents in Puerto Rico with AT&T cell phones can sign up for free on  ATT.com/mariaupdate to have AT&T help you reach them.

When you go to the website, you will be able to enter the cell phone number of the AT&T customer you’re trying to find in Puerto Rico. Then, you enter your phone number.

When the person whose number you entered in Puerto Rico connects to AT&T's wireless network on the island, AT&T will give them your number and let them know you’re trying to contact them.

AT&T will also email you when more service is back up and running so you can try to reach them again.

Anyone who signs up in the states does not need to be an AT&T customers to use the service, but those in Puerto Rico must be using cell phones on the AT&T network.
