Tampa Bay traffic construction projects that could affect your commute from August 26 - September 2

Construction projects are underway throughout the Tampa Bay Area. Here are the projects that will impact your commute from Saturday, August 26 through September 2. For a list of all projects, visit www.mytbi.com.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY:
The westbound I-4 Exit 9 ramp onto southbound I-75 will be closed between 9:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31 and 5:00 a.m. Friday, September 1.

  • DETOUR: Continue west on I-4 and use Exit 7 to southbound US 301. After crossing over I-4, veer right onto the loop ramp onto eastbound I-4. Use eastbound I-4 Exit 9 to southbound I-75.

HERNANDO COUNTY:
State Road 50 will be closed at I-75 between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday (August 28 - 30) nights. All ramps will be open, but no traffic will be able to cross under I-75 on SR 50. Traffic will be detoured onto the interstate to the next interchange and then back onto the interstate in the other direction to exit at SR 50 and continue in the original travel direction. Here are the specific detour directions:

  • EASTBOUND SR 50 DETOUR: Eastbound SR 50 traffic will be detoured onto southbound I-75 and use Exit 293 to CR 41. Drivers will turn right at the end of the ramp onto CR 41, cross over I-75, then turn left and enter northbound I-75 and use the northbound Exit 301 to SR 50.
  • WESTBOUND SR 50 DETOUR: Westbound SR 50 traffic will be detoured onto northbound I-75 and use Exit 309 (CR 476). Drivers will turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto CR 476, cross over I-75, then turn left and enter southbound I-75 and use the southbound Exit 301 to SR 50.
