The U.S. Women's National Team is good at soccer...VERY good.
Team USA began play in the FIFA Women's World Cup with a statement game, beating Thailand 13-0, a record for both most goals scored and largest margin of victory in a Women's World Cup match.
Good things to those who wait 🔥

The team was dominant in the first half, taking a 3-0 lead into the break. But in the second half, the U.S. really poured it on, scoring 10 more goals in the first game of group play.
Alex Morgan was phenomenal, scoring five goals in the match, which ties a record for most in a WWC match.
Those five goals, not surprisingly, earned her player of the match honors.
The biggest victory in #FIFAWWC history.

Rose Lavelle, Lindsey Horan, Samantha Mewis, Megan Rapinoe, Mallory Pugh and Carli Lloyd all had at least one goal as well in the lopsided match.
Team USA had 39 attempts, and 21shots on target. Meanwhile, USA goalie Alyssa Naeher needed to make just two saves.
The United States is in a group with Thailand, Chile and Sweden. The next game for the U.S. will be Sunday against Chile at noon.
