Dallas Cowboys receiver Lucky Whitehead has found his Blitz.

Whitehead took to social media Sunday to announce help in reacquiring his dog Blitz, who was recently stolen and his being held for ransom.

He posted to Snapchat early Tuesday that he and his dog had been reunited.

"I've taken some time to collect my thoughts on this subject matter, and it's very heartbreaking to say that Blitz has been stolen from my home last Sunday. Whomever stole Blitz has contacted my phone numerous times, demanding ransom money," Whitehead wrote on Instagram below a photo of Blitz.

"I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse! If you know of any details regarding Blitz's whereabouts or who may be involved in this, please contact me immediately."

On Monday, Whitehead told NBC 5 in Dallas thieves have called him to demand money from Whitehead in exchange for Blitz. Whitehead agreed to pay the ransom but said he hasn't heard back from the thieves since that time. Whitehead said a detective was unable to trace the phone from which the thieves called him.

"It's tough. I just got the dog (but he's) close to me," Whitehead told NBC 5. "We pretty much went everywhere together."

Dallas News reports that rapper Boogotti Kasino posted several tweets overnight saying that he had purchased the dog, not knowing it was stolen. He is hoping to get his money back.
