Old Navy’s $1 Flip-Flop Sale is Back—Here’s What You Need To Know

If there’s one thing that says summer is officially on its way (aside from, you know, grilling and margaritas on the patio), it’s Old Navy’s $1 flip-flop sale.

Every summer, for one day only, Old Navy sells their super comfy (if I do say so myself) flip-flops for just $1 per pair. They’re perfecting for lounging around the pool or doing yard work. The magical day this year is Saturday, June 15, both in-store and online. As a bonus, if you go to your local store before noon or head to the website before 12 p.m. PST, you also get a free pair of flip-flops with any $24 purchase.

You can grab up to 10 $1 pairs of flip-flops per transaction in-store and five pairs per transaction online (solid colors only) for the whole family. And trust me, you’re going to want 10 pairs, as they come in all sorts of colors like pink, purple, yellow and teal.

As if $1 flip-flops weren’t enough, Old Navy is giving us something new this year, too — a chance to win $24,000!

Here’s how it works: First, search your local Old Navy store or their website for a golden flip-flop. You’ll find them hidden throughout every Old Navy store and throughout the website. Then, once you find one, either enter the sweepstakes on their site if you found it online or take the in-store flip-flop to an associate for a chance to win the $24,000 grand prize.

Even if you just visit the sweepstakes page, you’ll receive a 24%-off code. Similarly, you’ll get a coupon if you find one in-store.

The sweepstakes begins June 15 at 12 a.m. PT online or when stores open.

So what are your chances of finding that golden flip-flop? Stores will hide five, seven or 10 flip-flops, depending on the size of the store. Old Navy says to search at eye level; you won’t need to get on your hands and knees to see them. They also recommend looking around the whole store and not just in the flip-flop section, as the golden flip-flop is not an actual shoe — it’s a trophy. And don’t dig through folded products and bins — it won’t be there either.

The $1 flip-flop sale started in 2005 and quickly became popular, ushering in the start of summer for sandal lovers. In fact, because of its popularity, Old Navy has also introduced a winterized version of the sale with $1 cozy socks around the holidays.

Will you be getting some new flip-flops for the summer?
