GASPARILLA CHILDREN'S PARADE
WHAT: The Gasparilla Children’s Parade kicks off Gasparilla season in Tampa on Saturday. Festivities for the Children’s Gasparilla Parade begin at 11 a.m. This is a family-friendly alcohol-free event. Reserve seating is $33 per person. 
WHEN: Jan. 23; 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Along Bayshore Blvd., from Bay to Bay to Watrous/Orleans Avenues.
COST: Free to attend

AUBURNDALE’S COMIC BOOK CONVENTION
WHAT: Love comic books and super heroes? City Con is just for you! There will be gaming, dicussions and a Cosplay contest. Special guest include Michael Jaegers from the Walking Dead and John Armijo of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
WHEN: Jan. 23, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
WHERE: Auburndale city’s downtown park and Civic Center
COST: Passes start at $5, children younger than 5 are free

BOLTS FAMILY CARNIVAL
WHAT: Bolts Fans attending the Family Carnival will feature traditional carnival games like dunk tank, high striker and bottle toss, along with more modern games like ping pong, Wii and box hockey. Fans will also have an opportunity to take photos with the Stanley Cup, visit the Lightning locker room and challenge their favorite Bolts to games during a day of family fun.
WHEN: Jan. 24, from 1-4 p.m.
WHERE: Amalie Arena
COST: $40 adults, and $20 children younger than 12, children younger than 2 are free

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS JAPAN FESTIVAL
WHAT: At Seminole Heights Japan Festival enjoy Japanese food, Japanese cultural booths, activities, and vendors.Martial arts demos from Aikido Chuseikan of Tampa Bay, University of South Florida Aikido, Kendo Club at USF, and Nihonzashi! Enter the Cosplay Contest at 8 p.m. for a chance to win prizes including prizes from Ichicoro Ramen.
WHEN: Jan. 23, noon to 11 p.m.

SUNSET CELEBRATION CLEARWATER BEACH
WHAT: Family fun, artist, street entertainment and music on the beach during the nightly sunset celebration on Clearwater Beach Pier 60.
WHEN:  4 to 8 p.m., daily 
WHERE: Pier 60 Park, Clearwater Beach
COST: Free

MANATEE VIEWING CENTER OPEN

WHAT: The Manatee Viewing Center is open for the season. Get a chance to see manatees and learn more about the mammals. The viewing tower allows you to see the surrounding habitat from a 50-foot-high vantage point. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy.
WHEN: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. ,daily through April
WHERE: 6990 Dickman Road, Apollo Beach
COST: Free.
