Statewide missing child alert canceled

UPDATE: The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has canceled a statewide missing child alert for 5-month-old Jasper Sanchez of Newberry, Fla. No other details have been released.

 

A statewide missing child alert has been issued for a 5-month-old infant from the Gainesville area, authorities said.

The baby, Jasper Sanchez, may be in the company of Hagen Sanchez, 34. The baby was last seen in the area of the 2800 block of Southwest 30th Avenue in Newberry, Fla.

The 5-month-old is described as white baby boy, weighing 16 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and gold striped onesie.

Hagen Sanchez is white male, 6-foot-6, 180 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing all black with black and blue tennis shoes. He has a red tattoo on his left upper arm.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the baby's whereabouts to contact the Alachua County Sheriff's Office at (352) 955-1818 or dial 911.
